1. Who we are
Ever After Exchange is a marketplace for buying and selling wedding and event decor. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Ever After Exchange app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions and requests about your data go to support@everafterexchange.com.
2. Information you give us
When you create an account we collect your email address, name and password, or the profile details shared by Google or Apple if you sign in with them. During onboarding you can tell us the categories, styles and general location (city or ZIP code) you care about. When you sell, your listings — photos, descriptions, prices, condition and a pickup area — are collected and shown to other users. Order messages you exchange with a buyer or seller are stored so both of you and our support team can refer back to them.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we receive only what we need to run the order — such as the amount, the payment status, and a reference to your Stripe customer record. If you choose to save a card, it is saved with Stripe. Sellers who connect a payout account share the details Stripe requires with Stripe, under Stripe’s own privacy policy.
4. Identity verification
Sellers can choose to verify their identity to earn a verified badge. Verification is handled by Sumsub, our verification provider, which collects the identity document and selfie it needs. We store only the outcome of the check, never the documents themselves.
5. Shipping
If you choose shipping instead of local pickup, we share the delivery address you enter, and the seller’s sending address, with Shippo and the carrier so a label can be created and the parcel delivered and tracked.
6. Location
If you grant location permission, we use your approximate location to show listings and suggested public pickup spots near you. You can always type a ZIP code instead — location permission is never required to use the app.
7. Notifications and devices
With your permission we store a push token for your device so we can send order updates through Apple and Google’s notification services. We also receive basic device and usage information — such as app version and crash reports — to keep the app working.
8. How we use information
We use the information above to run the marketplace: showing listings, processing orders and escrow, coordinating pickup and shipping, sending the notifications you’d expect about your orders, preventing fraud and enforcing our rules, and responding when you contact support. Order messages are automatically screened for language that suggests unsafe or off-platform activity; flagged messages may be reviewed by our moderation team.
9. Who we share it with
We share information with the service providers that make the app work: Supabase (hosting and authentication), Stripe (payments and payouts), Sumsub (identity verification), Shippo and its carriers (shipping), and our email delivery provider (transactional email). We share coordination details between the two sides of an order — a buyer and seller see each other’s display name, and the pickup or shipping details the order needs. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our users and the platform.
10. Retention and deletion
You can delete your account in the app under Settings > Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile and listings; records of completed transactions are retained as required for accounting, tax and dispute-handling obligations. Push tokens are removed when you sign out or delete the account.
11. Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile and preferences in the app at any time, turn notifications off in system settings, and request a copy or correction or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@everafterexchange.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law; we honour verified requests in line with those laws.
12. Children
Ever After Exchange is for adults. The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
